Aims
To introduce the '50+ Works' website and its resources and to show how the users can get the best from the website in order to support their 50+ customers.
For
Frontline staff working within Work Programme (and similar employment-related programmes) who interface directly with participants, particularly centre managers and team leaders.
Content
- Brief introduction to demographic trends; impact of welfare reforms and other public policy developments on the 50+ group
- What can make a 50+ jobseeker a difficult customer
- Background to the 50+ Works toolkit and a brief tour of the site
- Exercises based on customer scenarios focusing on practical use of 50+ Works
Learning outcomes
- Participants will understand the increased significance of the 50+ group in the Work Programme.
- Participants will familiarise themselves with the site and will get a feel about how they can use it on a daily basis and how it will help improve their delivery to 50+ customers.
