Older Women, Work and Health - Reviewing the Evidence

This timely research, commissioned by Help the Aged and TAEN (The Age and Employment Network), draws attention to a neglected issue in the world of employment. It identifies a lack of evidence about the occupational health of older women, including those from black and minority ethnic communities.The Government’s declared aspiration is to add one million older people to the workforce, as outlined in its most recent strategy on work, health and wellbeing: however, there is little mention of older workers or, indeed, of women, in any of its policy statements.
