Q1: If the aim is
to arrive at an ‘age neutral’ approach to all people
of working age, does it make any sense to continue to define ‘older
people’ as those being aged 50+ ?
|
Q2: If we must use
'age' as a determinant for public policy purposes, then at what
threshold age should we start to consider people as being 'older'
? Would it be better to peg it to State Pension Age (SPA) so that
if SPA increases, the definition of when 'older' age begins shifts
with it ?
|
Q3: Or should we
fall in line with other European Governments and just shift the
threshold to 55 ?
