The Skills Funding Agency has joined forces with the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) to offer a total fund of £200,000 for equality and diversity projects. 

Learning and Skills providers are invited to submit bids for activities around Equality and Diversity and Community Cohesion. 

The aim is to support innovative and sustainable projects in this area to further develop and refine the role of learning and skills providers in their organisations and localities. The criteria have been kept deliberately flexible, the LSIS says, to enable colleges and providers to identify the areas of greatest need.

Colleges and providers are invited to bid for up to £25,000 each to undertake projects between November 2010 and April 2011.

The deadline for submissions is 15 October 2010 at 12:00 PM.
